I missed American Teen at the Atlanta Film Festival but I can always count on MTV to tell me what the kids are up to these days. However, with approximately 3,000,000 reality shows and one-hour documentary specials on TV these days, why does Atlanta always get shunned? Case in point: The Paper, a show that follows a high school newspaper and a few students’ battle to become its editor-in-chief. Why was some anonymous Florida high school chosen over Grady High School’s famous journalism program? Because Grady is legit and didn’t even apply to be on the show? WHATEVER. According to Miss Darrow, Grady is The Best High School Ever (ew, does that even exist?), so I know their students would have known better than to use Microsoft Word Art when applying for the most important job in the world:

Anyway, Atlanta did get BET’s College Hill to make up for being shunned by The Real World location scouts season after season. Oh, and Being Bobby Brown.
