Alex Wan and the real issues
5 Nov

So Alex Wan and…one of those white straight people…are in a runoff in which none of you will remember to vote. We’ve discussed Alex Wan’s good looks here before, but let’s get the superficial stuff out of the way for good and talk from now on about what’s really on the mind of us Disty Sixers when we think about the next person to carry our torch in City Hall. This question was posed to me today and it totally caught me off guard in its frankness and urgency:

Would Alex Wan be an Old Navy, Gap, or Banana Republic model?
Naturally, my immediate response was: Gap, if he is modeling for its Christmas ad campaign.
But I didn’t feel totally confident with that answer, so I consulted the one person who would surely know: Pecanne Log commenter “b4ce1″, who is a known GapCard member.
Well I would say Banana Republic out of those three definitely.
But if you ask me, the tinge of gray in his hair, along with his slightly beefy build (well, for an asian guy), make me think he’s more of a J. Crew model – sophisticated, slightly rugged.
Readers, what do you think? The future of District 6 is hypothetically up to you. (And don’t cop out and say J. Crew like “b4ce1″ – it’s not really an option.) Feel free to use the comments to explain your reasoning.
Also today, it was brought to our attention that someone’s stolen one of our posts. Wow, it’s really been One Of Those Days, huh? But somehow this plagiarizer was able to take our words and make them even better, to express the sentiments we could never articulate in the limits of human language:
Who makes Thomas Wheatley conceive he is, anyways?! He makes n’t even sleep in Atlanta ; maked you cognize that? Yeah, he Holds a suburbanite , yet he Holds permited to travel on inditing for Originative Idling Atlanta So holds the temerity to state us who to vote for! Wherefore Bash N’T YOU Tour WRITE FOR DECATUR METRO INSTEAD SINCE YOU LOVE IT Such, Thomas Wheatley!!
We can never write again.
Previously: Bad call, Mr. Wheatley!
