Stone Soup is famous

16 Feb

Delicious and cheap Stone Soup in Cabbagetown was profiled on NPR as part of David Green’s “100 Days on the Road in Troubled Times” series – you can listen to the radio segments from Green’s time in Atlanta and read the articles in two parts here:

Is it in Cabbagetown? I know it is north of the highway, and that the NPR article says Cabbagetown, but isn’t south of Memorial Grant Park? I know that area east of Boulevard and north of I-20 has become known as Taco Town, partly because it _isn’t_ Cabbagetown and because I-20 cut it off from it’s historic place as part of Grant Park… I wish this sort of thing didn’t bother me.

Anyway, I eat there just about every weekend, it’s great.

Well, if you’re going to split geographical hairs while our local job market is in shambles, then fine, it is between Cabbagetown and Grant Park. Or “Taco Town”, to use your colloquialism.
