Fire me now

For a while there I was checking the Atlanta Furs page regularly in anticipation of the announcement of the next Furries v. Klingons bowl-off – and somehow between the last time I checked the page and NOW, they planned and executed the the event. They even invited “more groups” (e.g. vampires, werewolves, and “Anime Cosplayers”) to bowl with them this year.

This is better than Dragon*Con because of the competitive element. I hope it evolves over the years to create legendary bad blood and epic grudges passed from generation to generation. Did anyone go? Where are the photos? What do they pay Joeff Davis for, anyway? (Here are last year’s pictures, and a video.)

There’s plenty of advance notice for Furry Weekend Atlanta 2009, though, so no worries. This year’s theme is “safari” so be sure you have a khaki vest large enough to fit over your squirrel suit.
