Talley time

It’s college graduation time and the list of commencement speakers at colleges and universities around the state is, as usual, super boring. EXCEPT! At Savannah College of Art and Design they get André Leon Talley, editor-at-large for American Vogue and famous for being forced by Anna Wintour to lose weight. In turn, he forced Jennifer Hudson and Mariah Carey to lose weight. That’s fashion!

If we have any SCAD almost-grads reading, please report back after the Atlanta or Savannah graduations on May 31 with a detailed description of André Leon Talley’s commencement costume and accessories (including how many fur garments he is flaunting in Atlanta summer) and a transcript of his speech. I’m sure it will be INSPIRING!

    What a joker. Who in the world could possibly still think Louis Vuitton merchandise looks anything other than cheap, plasticky and ghetto?

    Despite Andre Leon Talley’s questionable fashion choices, I will always be a big fan of his. How exciting for the SCAD students!

    ALT was sad to report that M. Galliano was a no-show.
    Our much hyped graduation fashion show gave the award to his, that’s right—publicist.
    Apparently he was very very very ill.
