Overheard in Bill Hallman dressing rooms:
“Mooooooom, I don’t want Woodward kids to get their hands on TOMS. They just want J. Crew and Lacoste. They are so unoriginal. This would blow their minds.”

Sorry kid. Unoriginal classmates + large allowance = everyone else having TOMS by the end of the month.
Why do you care so much about what we do. if we are so unoriginal. i’ve been at Woodward since kindergarden and there’s more to private schools than you think. A) nobody gets a huge allowance. B) everybody has there own style it’s not our fault we have stupid uniform rules. It’s either wear it right or get detention hours for wearing it wrong and copy the latest news from some arab country in ARABIC( have you ever writen in Arabic, i think not!!!). C) TOMS ARE HIDEOUSLY UGLY AND NONE OF US WANT THEM ANYWAYS. Don’t be mad cause you can’t afford what we can… jealous much. D) Woodward kids know and are ahead of the trends public school kids are just finding out about or just being able to afford because now its out of style and in the CLEARANCE isle. Are you mad that we can afford REAL coach purses prada, gucci, chanel, burberry. have you even heard of those. Probably only in the bootlegged section of Ross or JCPennys. News flash… GET A LIFE. AND GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT BEFORE YOU GO ACCUSING PEOPLE OF BEING STUCK UP!!!
heyy, i go to woodward! and i’ve been here since kindergarden too!
i totally agree with you on the fact that woodward isn’t like they say it is and that they shouldn’t say that but that was a little rough… first, you say to stop accusing us of being stuck up and then you brag about how much money you have and automatically assume that everyone that is not in private school is poor and can’t afford what we can. verryyy wrong. if you want them to think any different of woodward by telling them were not like that…. i think you did quite the opposite. so if anyone is reading… we are all not like that. yes, some of us are but people usually don’t like them. haha. but most are not. Woodward is the greatest.
Well, that girl was saved by the limits of Toms’ color palette since Bill Hallman doesn’t carry them in Woodward-regulation brown.
OMG, that is so not true. We are too original. It’s not our fault we don’t establish the rules we just follow them. And TOMS are soo ugly that’s why we don’t have them… FYI not all WOODWARD students get a HUGE allowance. Most of them don’t our parents pay so much for school that we don’t get much.
And where do you get off talking about WA students mabye if you had enough money you could relate but oh oops u don’t.
Woodward Girl:
I go to a private school too
I am pretty wealthy
and I wear all designers.
And i just have one thing to say:
Your a stuckup snob that thinks ur better then everyone when your not:(
Soooo sorry hun.
I’m not stuck up, I’m not a snob, and i don’t think i’m better than everybody(just u)
I go to Woodward Academy and unlike Woodward Girl most of us aren’t stuck up. There are those of us like her but not all of us are. We are just like people at public schools or any other schools for that matter. She is right about somethings though we all don’t get huge allowances. Most of my friends DON’T EVEN GET ALLOWANCES. Yes there’s that one group that is always talking like,” OMG have you guys like seen the newest Prada bag it is like sooooo cute OOOMMGG if my mom doesn’t by that for me like TODAY i’m like sooo gunna die.” But I KNOW THAT’S DEFINATELY NOT ME. So yall don’t let Woodward Girl speak for all of us that’s just her she doesn’t rep WA.
I go to WA, but Ive never heard of TOMS. Every1 wears Sperrys. WA kids rly aren’t stuck up at all. Yeah, they all have money, but no one really flashes it. The truly wealthy people don’t flash their money, like they have something to prove. And Woodward Girl, that’s not very nice.
I go to Woodward. I am not stuck up at all…my parents and I lead a modest life at home, and I don’t ask for and am not granted many expensive things. This includes designer clothes or purses, fancy technology, etc. When I really want things, I earn them in my job stocking at a local book store. In fact, I buy clothes from places ranging from popular department stores like Macy’s to modestly-priced vintage clothing stores, and I occasionally design and produce my own clothes as a hobby—if you think that is an unoriginal wardrobe of designer names, then you obviously are not getting a good education at the school you’re at. That would explain your ignorance as presented in this article . SO, DO NOT TALK ABOUT WOODWARD KIDS BEING STUCK-UP, DESIGNER-OBSESSED, AND UNORIGINAL. THAT IS IGNORANCE AND THE TYPICAL WHINING/RANTING FROM THE MOUTH OF A JEALOUS PUBLIC SCHOOLER. GET A HOBBY INSTEAD OF COMPLAINING ABOUT THINGS YOU DON’T KNOW ABOUT. You don’t even know what the dress code at Woodward is like and how strict it is; there is no sign of J. Crew or any of that at WA because that is considered illegal outerwear. Therefore, you have nothing to back up your whining about designer products that you can’t afford and that we can’t wear inside of the school. We’ll wear what we want outside of school, and don’t need your worthless, jealous whining to tell us what to buy or wear. Grow up.
Oh, and I agree, that TOMS junk is hideous. If they were free, or if they were really expensive in a fancy boutique, neither of those situations would prompt me to buy that ugly brand. Wear those all you want, you ignorant and whiny blogger, but don’t complain about Woodward students’ high sense of style relative to your poor attempt at fashion and a sale.
Amen!!! lol
The whole point of TOMS is not to look fashionable. Oh no. It’s about raising awareness for those who aren’t privileged to have shoes in countries stricken by poverty. Wearing TOMS is not a fashion statement, it’s a “Hey look at me, I’m using my money to make a difference in the world”. If you’re wearing them to make a fashion statement, you’re wearing them for the wrong reasons.
WOW!!!
These comments are much better at describing certain private school kids than any whiny, ignorant blogger could ever hope to attain. What fun!
LOL.
You Woodward kids sound like you have a stick up your ass.
And this is coming from someone probably wealthier than all of you are.
Oh yes, I am so “jealous” that I don’t go to a school with a ridiculous dress code.
Thanks, but I’ll stick to wearing whatever the hell I want and not having to abide by rules that serve virtually no purpose whatsoever except to create clones of the same drones that have been going to private school for years.
I did the private school thing for awhile..and I don’t know who you are trying to fool, besides yourselves…
Private school isn’t about looking fashionable they make us wear uniforms so we don’t have to worry about what we are wearing to school and can focus on academics. Yall are forgeting that’s the whole purpose of Woodward…to make us smater than the average public school child. So while your working at the dollar store for a living because you wanted to wear “whatever the hell you want”, we will be lawyers doctors and judges. So have fun with your originality
okay I dont know what you are talking about.
I happened to go to a public school throughout my life, while my best friend went to WA. Of course I didnt think she was bratty or rich… but when it came to college, she didn’t make it.. I DID.. a full ride to Harvard Law School… so i dont know what you are talking about- not every “jealous” public schooler is a dumb idiot in life..
I didn’t say all of y’all were I was speaking specifically to that kid
Just an observation from looking at the above comments….
It’s a shame that $20,000 a year later, some of these elite private school gals still don’t know basic grammar.
“Why do you care so much about what we do. if we are so unoriginal.” (fragment)
“everybody has there own style it’s not our fault we have stupid uniform rules.” (‘their’; run-on)
“( have you ever writen in Arabic, i think not!!!)” (comma splice; ‘written’)
“in the CLEARANCE isle” (incorrect homophone)
“Are you mad that we can afford REAL coach purses prada, gucci, chanel, burberry. have you even heard of those.” (think you’re missing some question marks here. And, general ignorance.)
etc, etc, etc.
Personally, I’d want a refund.
Also, parents, I’m available for tutoring. It’s a steal at $10,000 a year.
Not knocking private schools… my Catholic private school was wonderful. We had great English teachers and… wait for it… uniforms. Solves everything.
This makes me want to rip up my diploma.
why does it make you want to rip up your dipolma
*diploma
“to make us smater than the average public school child.”
Smater!
Love it.
lol
smater people go to WindWard? I think not
LOL, i go to private school.
Toms are innnn.
But just vegan style in our school.
Lacoste is uuuuuuuuuuuuuuugly!!!!!!!!!!!! And what the hell r TOMS?
Why are you criticizing my grammar. Are you forgetting I am a child still in school. And since when do children use PROPER GRAMMAR outside of school anyways. I bet if your read some of the text messages of students you tutor they definitely won’t be grammatically correct.
lol…
i go to WA, and to tell you the truth… from the way my classmates act and how the posts above are, you may not notice this fellow classmates, but we are becoming spoiled as we speak.
The whole point of woodward is NOT to make us smarter than the average public school kid. It’s only to help the students BECOME as smart as the public school kid..
“advanced” classes… really? my friends took that class in 8th grade.. WA in 10th???!!!
btw, classmates, TOMS are to help people who are the opposite of us… not everyone is wealthy you know
Listen, just because our parents decided to place a higher importance on education does NOT mean we are all stuck up snobs. I am so tired of people prejudging us because we value education and work hard to deserve to go to such a great school. I’ve been here forEVER and it was the greatest decision my family has ever made. No, we do not have a vacation house or anything like you may have heard, we place education far above that. GO EAGLES!
Well…I guess you right. I sorry for prejudging you. I know you has to work hard to deserve it.
PubSchool, just go ahead and stop talking. Don’t try to act like you’re wealthier than all of of us…because to tell you the truth, none of use Woodward Academy students believe the trash you’re typing here (nice try, though). Also, us “snobby” and “stuck up” Woodward kids don’t try to act like our uniforms are stylish nor do we care. We have better things to worry about. Have you ever heard of studying? Hmmm, probably not considering you go to a public school, trying to act better than your surrounding, private school scholars. Sorry, you lose. We win.
And Gray, try to comment on my grammar. Oh wait! You can’t! Notice that I don’t have one mistake in the passage I previously wrote. Thanks but no thanks.
Note: I’m not just speaking to PubSchool, I’m speaking to anybody that trashed Woodward.
Thanks for your time, envious misfits.
Hahahaha. OK, I’ll take you up on your challenge:
Sentence 1:
Used “of” twice (typo). Misuse of ellipsis. Typed “use” instead of “us.”
Sentence 2:
Use a comma before a short conjunction (“nor”).
Sentence 6:
No technical errors, just stylistically awful.
Still, not too bad for a private school punk!
Oh, aren’t you just hilarious? Not. Yes, I see the spelling/grammatical errors, but there’s one thing you are, in fact, wrong about. My “misuse” of the ellipsis was used on purpose. It’s there for a dramatic pause in the sentence. Duh.
Additionally, you used the word “punk.” Who does that unless you’re a thoughtless idiot who’s influenced by your foolish, uneducated, drunken peers? Obviously you do.
And as said before, thanks but no thanks.
shutyomoufs, you are so wrong. us public school kids HAVE heard of studying. If your teachers at WA taught you so well, why would you need to study? Wouldn’t you just pass since you are a “private school scholar”? We public schoolers work hard as well. I am not saying you don’t. But face it, some of us public schoolers will be jealous of you guys since they don’t get to wear a silly dress code or act rich. I’m not one of them. But there will be many of us trashing private schools throughout your life. So learn to IGNORE it.
btw, don’t judge my grammar.
Coool!!!
Okay, I go to Woodward and let me set the record straight:
–Woodward IS harder than most public schools. I went to public school for most of my life and I was not prepared for the volume/difficulty of Woodward.
–MANY, MANY kids that go to Woodward are not rich. Most kids that go to Woodward have parents that make an average income (Woodward IS NOT full of preppy, rich kids). Mostly, our parents want us to have a higher education and a greater chance at success.
–Truthfully, I found the kids at public school more designer-obsessed than Woodward.
–When you act like a stuck up snob, nobody likes you- Woodward kids included.
You just talk about how much better Woodward is, how the kids are cooler and the parents are more involved. Then you say you’re not stuck up!! Go put on your boat shoes and get the heck out of here!!
