St. Patrick’s Day canceled!

17 Mar

Sorry, Atlanta, but this year there will be no St. Patrick’s Day because of The Tornadoes. Just think of your Leap Day as an early St. Patty’s celebration, okay? Use today to clean pieces of your roof off of the power lines and memorize which streets will be closed probably for the next 6 months.

However, there’s no reason you can’t have a tiny bit of green-tinted cheer on this day, so I made you this:

Yes, that’s right – he is smoking a pipe FULL OF GOLD.

“A section of Boulevard — between Memorial Drive and Gartrell — could be shut down as long as three weeks, police say, while workers reinforce the main wall of the Cotton Mill Lofts. It’s been deemed unstable by the Atlanta Fire-Rescue Unit.”

Every morning I shave off that beard. And before lunch it always reappears. Same thing happens with the eyebrows.

Dang it! I didn’t even know yesterday was St. Patrick’s Day. See what having a baby does to you??? It eats your brain.

St Patrick’s day was on Saturday the 15th this year. The Catholic Church will change St. Patrick’s day any time it falls during Holy Week which, this year, it did. The alst time this happened was in 1940 I believe.
