As precious as the Buckhead Library is, there is a world (a very small one) of architecture in Atlanta beyond its pointy diagonals. The New York Times profiles Atlanta architecture firm BLDGS, run by David Yocum and Brian Bell. Bell and Yocum met while working under Mack Scogin and Merrill Elam, but decided to venture on their own, setting up shop in a decaying auto repair shop in the West End that they renovated and designed impeccably.

BLDGS is also the brains behind Whitespace‘s space, a horse stable converted into an art gallery.
