Okay, Bauder College (which I think I knew of only because they advertise extensively on Marta) might have the next Nancy Drew or Veronica Mars or whatever! Because their two-year criminal justice students are trying to solve the cases of missing white woman Natalee Holloway and missing-and-then-murdered white woman Chandra Levy. (via Jezebel)
Bauder started a Cold Case Investigative Research Institute to reopen and study evidence from unsolved crimes and then turn its students’ recommendations over to the FBI. Since Bauder is a two-year for-profit college that presumably doesn’t have any kind of research emphasis, I don’t know know that the Cold Case Institute actually serves to dig up unexplored clues in Levy’s computer or find out who really killed Tupac Shakur, as much as to attract prospective students who know about the high-profile victims as well as watch a lot of television crime dramas and think, “With the proper sexy-yet-professional suit/pantsuit and complicated personal life, I could totally do that.” Murder investigations aren’t all sex and danger. I mean, have you seen Prime Suspect? Kind of boring.

That’s so awesome. I think they should tell us what kinds of results these kids find. Like who they think shot Tupac.
possibly the best photo i’ve seen in recent memory.
kudos!
Jessica Fletcher is my hero in sass and fashion.
