Really Big Show

29 Nov

So, even though Christa is usually the one dropping the Deerhunter name in half of her posts, I just wanted to take a moment to direct people to the show tomorrow night at Variety Playhouse.  It’s probably going to be awesome.  However, due to the fact that I am officially 9 months pregnant, I think I’m going to have to skip it.

The show is a celebration for Stomp and Stammer’s 11th Anniversary, and the bill is pretty awesome.  Of course, it is all of Atlanta’s darling bands:  Deerhunter, Black Lips, Snowden and The Selmanaires.  Pretty serious stuff if you ask me.  And the tickets are cheap, only $15 before you get slammed with the dumbass Ticket Master fees.  The show is at 8:30 tomorrow night, and I’m sure it will be awesome.  Maybe people will be wearing some of American Apparel’s new line of gold lame crap.  Or even the hot pink tight jeans I saw at Urban Outfitters.  Here’s some ideas to get you going (camel toe is optional):

Whatever, I mentioned them THREE TIMES, okay? Only because I thought that was what the reading public likes to see.

But also: you can go to the Variety Playhouse ticket booth from 12-6 on weekdays and buy tickets there sans TM fees. And if you pay in cash it’s even cheaper.

I think they like to see women in gold suspender bathing suits with camel toe.

Anyone remember that L7 side project named Cameltoe? They were awesome. I’m lying. I’m sorry. Bye.
