Tomorrow night at Puritan Mill the gallery will be showing a retrospective of Grady Haugerud’s Atlanta work. The exhibit will run through December 31st. As Haugerud is moving to New York in the fairly near future, this is a great chance to see recent and older works. The opening will be Tuesday October 23rd from 6-9pm. Puritan Mill is located in the King Plow district in the West End. The address is 916 Joseph E Lowery Blvd SW.

Grady is totally self taught. He uses spontaneous drawing as a way of expressing chaos and complexities found in nature that are reflected in the human subconcious. He draws heavily on the Abstract Expressionist movement of the mid-20th century, but thats not to say that it is derivative. If you want to check out some works beforehand, try Grady’s website.
