A lot happens in Atlanta in a week. For example, this whole John Fitzgerald Page trajectory. I should have told you sooner, but I felt kind of bad for the guy. I mean, when someone is that self-absorbed but still deeply self-unaware, you have to wonder if undiagnosed Asperger’s disorder is at work or something.
Then he became national news and left me no choice but to write about him.

First, Gawker.com declares Buckhead 31-story high-rise resident John Fitzgerald Page the Worst Person in the World in a post that scored a whopping 147,000 views and 1988 comments. JFP naturally got angry, because all these Gawker readers went to his website where at the time he had all his personal contact information posted and spent the entire day calling and emailing him.
Several days later the Atlanta press hears about out what’s going on and tries to track the guy down – only to find that now he is only doing paid interviews.
Read the original Gawker post to find out what the Manhattan blog believes makes this man so horrendous, and then take a long stroll around Page’s website. He’s selling merch now.
And it seems that the Ivy League is just as embarassed of him as Atlanta is.
